re: National Bullying Helpline Ltd / HR & Diversity Management Ltd:
Tim Field's family supported the launch of the National Bullying Helpline in 2007. Tim's widow Susan became one of the founding trustees in the belief that the project would have met with his approval. In 2008, after she had received a number of complaints about the charity which she was unable to get resolved, Susan Field resigned from the board.
The family has today instructed the National Bullying Helpline operator to remove all references to the Field name, including Tim Field, from their web site.

I am not surprised that the Field family have made this move. I don't think anyone would want to be associated with C.Pratt. I hope this woman is investigated thoroughly. It becomes more and more apparent that she preyed on vulnerable people who approached NBH for support. She used anyone she could to promote NBH which culminated in business for her private venture.
ReplyDeleteI was under the impression that an investigation into a bullying claim can only be investigated by the organisation if the victim puts forward a formal grievance. If no grievance had been made in the PM office how could it be investigated???
Not all victims of bullying wish to make a formal complaint. It so happens that many people just need support, someone to listen. C.Pratt it seemed pushed people to make a formal complaint and so HR Diversity enters.
How is it legal to use a charity to procure clients for ones private venture???? Yet C,Pratt maintains that this arrangement is approved by the law society.
I see that the link to Tim Field is still on the home page of the National Bullying Helpline, despite the request on Bully Online to remove it.
ReplyDeleteI also note that Christine Pratt featured in a tribunal case earlier this month http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/7345999/Christine-Pratt-failed-to-carry-out-proper-investigation.html and also on a GTC inquiry where the head teacher was cleared of all allegations, despite Mrs Pratt's previous declaration that her case involved the worst bullying she had ever come across.
Just what expertise does the National Bullying Helpline and this business actually have to make these pronouncements on cases?
Suggest anyone adversly affected consults a solicitor.
I am sorry I was out of the country when the NBH was finally exposed so have probably missed much.
ReplyDeleteIn the wake has any thought been given to the impact this sham and the subsequent debacle has had on the likelihood of justice and support for targets of bullying?
Our thoughts go to the Field family with the hope that they have not been adversely impacted by events and that they will continue to be associated with everything that Tim Field stood for.
In the mean time there is sound advice to be had at BOL. All the advice anyone needs is there, which brings into question the need for a national bullying helpline. What is actually needed is available justice.
